Not for fish!

I purchased a number of things at this Petsmart for my aquarium setup. The prices are a little high, but not exorbitant. The only big thing I wish they had is Bio-Spira or a comparable product. My complaint that unfortunately rules out all the cons is about the live plant tanks, which are all connected. I used their plants in my betta tank, and in a few weeks not only were there hundreds of tiny snails in the filter, but large leeches began to emerge. When I mentioned this in the store, the employee said they had had some problems with leeches in the tank before and had not bothered to redo the tank. The leeches attacked my fish, leaving numerous visible wounds and scars that remained his entire life. The staff in general were not very knowledgeable about fish or live plants. They might be good for mammals, but not for fish!

As most people, I too did not feel that I could find a quality dog trainer at a major retail store such as Pet Smart. I was very skeptical of signing up for the training class at first, but said to myself, it is only $110 I would not be out that much, and I would probably learn something. Well, all of my worries were for nothing. I will just go ahead and say it, I WAS WRONG. The Trainer Courtney blew me away with her expert knowledge, and found a way to reach me at my level so that I could grasp what and why I was to do an action. Through this one class and the knowledge I gained from it I have gained the skills to maintain a great dog. My dog Max is now a dog that people comment on constantly on how well behaved he is, where they used to walk away from meeting him with anger due to paw prints binging all over them. Needless to say, I owe the training class I took with Courtney at Pet Smart for a better quality of life with my dog Max.
Great Training Classes

I took a class through PetsMart with Courtney. She was very knowledgeable and has had many years of experience. The class was extremely fun and very informative. I believe that this class made my relationship with my puppy much stronger. We learned all of the basic commands and she even threw in there a few fun tricks. My puppy is now a great lovable companion. Everyone I meet compliments how well behaved he is. I give credit to Courtney. I am going to go through all of the classes PetsMart has to offer. The classes are easy on my budget and I learned so much. We are going to finish up the classes and get tested for the CGC! I would recommend these classes for EVERYONE with a dog!

We bought 4 finches from PetSmart and they died in 3 days. Cockatiels were already in quarantine for psittacosis yet management would not admit that our birds could have possibly had the disease. When we bought our birds, we dealt with the person in charge of fish and birds and we asked him for 4 male finches. He said they could not guarantee the gender of these birds, yet when I got home I was able to determine that I had 2 male and 2 female after just 5 minutes of internet research. In my opinion, this store does not have knowledgable staff or strive for integrity with their customers.
